All bookings for the 53rd Sydney Film Festival are through Ticketmaster. To avoid lengthy queues and potential disappointment when the Festival starts, we recommend you buy your tickets in advance through Ticketmaster
How to Buy Your Tickets Online
The Festival website has been designed to work in seamlessly with the Ticketmaster site, where the Shopping Trolley for your ticket purchases is held.
Please be aware that as a security and efficiency measure, items in your Shopping Trolley are only held for 15 minutes, at which time the Ticketmaster site will time that purchase out and return tickets to the system.
As it may take you a while to decide on which sessions you would like to attend, we suggest you use the following steps when booking your tickets online. The best way to get a listing of ALL film titles screening at the Festival is to do a search from the Festival Home Page (top drop down under FESTIVAL SEARCH, right hand column). Rather than inputting any text, leave the box blank and hit 'Go'. This will give you a listing of all films and events and by clicking on the Date, Time, Venue etc at the top you can sort them according to what you need. You can then click through and book from each individual page.
1. Print out the Sydney Film Festival Session Planner
The Sydney Film Festival Session Planner is handy to have by your side as you browse through the Festival website. It is available below as a downloadable PDF. If you are booking multiple tickets, simply print it out and fill in the films that grab your attention, to refer to later when booking online through Ticketek.

2. Browse Films/Events and decide which sessions you would like to attend
Each Film/Event page has details of when the film is screening, the venue, ticket prices and how to book in the right-hand column. When you find a Film or Event you would like to attend, note the details down in your Session Planner.
3. Book your Films/Events online through Ticketmaster
For each Film/Event you have added to your Session Planner, revisit that particular web page and click on the 'Book Online at Ticketmaster' link in the right-hand column (under Book Tickets). This link takes you through to the Ticketmaster Festival Bookings page for that particular Film/Event. Click on 'Find Tickets' then move through the steps provided to add your tickets to the Ticketmaster Trolley. You will need to do this for each Film/Event you have chosen. Click on 'More Events' or 'Keep Shopping' to go back to the Sydney Film Festival website.
4. Check your Shopping Trolley
Click on the 'Ticketmaster Trolley' (top left hand corner of Film/Event page or in the main menu bar) at any time to double check the tickets you have booked. When you have chosen all your tickets proceed to the Checkout to provide your payment details.
